25 January 2010: Session of the month

We have chosen the Siupsinskaite family to be our favourite session of the year so far. Lucas and Eva just 7 and 4 years old could not stop laughing all the way through the session and we were able to capture some amazing moments between the two of them. CLICK HERE TO VIEW THE FULL SESSION

5 January 2010: Happy New Year!

We enjoyed our christmas break here and hope you all did to. Its going to be another well packed, busy and exciting year and what better way is there to start a year than launching our biggest ever sale!

 

 

19 December 2009: Merry Christmas

1 December 2009: Mr B's Party Session

Our favorite session of the past month was a real fun packed studio shoot. Iain and his son Jack are children's party entertainers so the shoot was full of props, music and some fantastic facial expressions. They are also serious Madness fans and as you can see from these images they didn't hold back in showing how much they love the band! They both couldn't wait to get back and see the images and are thrilled to bits with the results, here are a couple of our favorites.

25 November 2009: New Arrival

November was a very special month for The Portrait Studio as we are pleased to announce the birth of our second child Daniel. Here is an early shot of our beautiful new baby boy!

Saturday 8th of November saw Jack in full flow in the studio while I went to a beautiful house in Great Hallingbury to photograph the Milne family, here are a coupe of my favourites of the two girls being very cute. Then back to the studio again on Sunday for another full day of portraits.

 

4 November 2009: Training seminars

Last week saw a very busy and different week at the studio. Wednesday and Thursday night we were delighted to do seminars about portrait photography and lighting at two great camera clubs. Wednesday saw us in Ware talking to a very keen group of about 30 photographers and Thursday saw us talking at Hitchin camera club. I would like to say Thank you to both clubs for inviting us and you can view the pictures taken here.

29 October 2009: Rock 'n' Roll Session

The Fowles family came to us with the idea of finishing up with something “that little bit different” and they got just that! Beth and Josh Fowles are twins which made the session even more fun for us and we had a great time working with them. Josh brought along his electric guitar and Beth brought along her hobby lots and lots of different clothes to wear!! Therefore we were able to get some really cool rock and roll style shots of the two of them especially this one with Josh leaping through the air!

20 October 2009: Movie Time

As you may well know here at the portrait studio we are always looking to push the boundaries in the world of portrait photography, our latest innovation has seen us turn to video for some inspiration……

Thanks to some stunning new software we are now able to mix video clips and stills together resulting in a fantastic slideshow showing off all the best bits of your session with us.

 

 

6 October 2009: New Framing service

The portrait studio are pleased to launch a brand new framing service. Our new bespoke framing service is available for your own pictures, canvas's, artwork or memorabilia such as football shirts and tapestrys. 12 September 2009: Richard and Susan's London Wedding

Richard and Susan’s wedding saw us swap our usual Essex countryside wedding venues for the busy city of Westminster, London. From Red double decker busses to traditional London phone boxes we made sure we captured the true spirit of this London Wedding. The day started at the St Clement Danes RAF church on the strand which was followed by a traditional bus ride down to Piccadilly for the evening reception at the London RAF Members club.

 

 

 

1 September 2009: Session of the month

Our favourite session of the past month came form the Ivana family, their colorful and traditional Indonesian clothing was worn throughout the session along with matching white t-shirts and jeans, they were a joy to work with and could not wait to get back to see their portraits.

 

 

 

25 August 2009: Gemma and Robert's Wedding

Hanbury Manor in Hertfordshire was the venus for Gemma and Roberts summer time wedding. It was a fantastic day and a great wedding to photograph.

 

 

19 August 2009: TPS COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY.

10 August 2009: NEW WEBSITE LAUNCHED.

If your reading this then u would have probably noticed we have had a bit of a change around on our website, after a years hard work we finally launched a new look website today. Our new fresh looking site gives up to date information on all of our services plus brand new showreels and an updated studio gallery.

2 August 2009: New wedding showreel.

We have shot many memorable weddings so far this year and still lots more to do, with the wedding season now well under away we have refreshed our wedding showreel for you all to see and enjoy.

 

20 July 2009: Alices Boutique

We were commisioned by local fashion designer Alice Wood to shoot her new range of Bespoke Bodycon Glamour Dreses. LCF graduate Alice creates colourful custom made dresses perfect for that dazzling night out.

We spent the whole day shooting both in the studio and out on location, our two favourites are in our window display for this month.

 

10 July 2009: Charity help

As many of you may know we are proud supporters of St Clare Hospice in Harlow, We are helping to promote their Sunflower Ball 2009.

The event will be held on Saturday 12th September at 7.30pm at the Metropolitan Police Sports & Social Club, Chigwell.

Tickets are £39.00 and include a three course meal and live entertainment along with a licensed bar. We will also be at the evnt taking photographs for the guests, the pictures will be available to purchase online after the event and we will be donating some funds from this back to the Hospice.

29 June 2009: Twilight Time.....

Something that we enjoy the most here at the studio is when clients bring their own thoughts and ideas into the studio enabling both myself and Jack to really push the boundaries with our sessions.

Mia Farly came to us in July with the idea of recreating the Twilight film posters, and what an idea it was its. Twilight is a film based on an American paranormal romance novel. The shoot was defiantly one of Jack's favourite sessions to date. We used the SCI-FI gothic theme to create a stunning set of images. Mia fell in love with her portraits and decided to pick her favorite 12.

 

 

13 June 2009: Wow what a venue.....

Claire and David's wedding on the 13th June took us to without doubt one of the finest wedding venue we have ever been to .......

Luton Hoo Hotel was the destination and wow what a place to get married. Jack and I took over 1200 photographs of the couple in just under 12 hours! It was one of those days where we just did not want to stop as we wanted to capture every single detail on Claire and David's special day.

 

 

30 May 2009: Onwood Vision

This summer sees the launch of our brand new portrait product "onwood Vision". This is a totally unique product that when we first saw we were amazed at the quality and uniqueness of this exciting new product.

Onwoodvision is the latest way of using photography, wood and art, to display beautiful portraits images.
A fusion of photography, wood, technology and art. The result is beautiful stained and carved portrait on wood.

The process is  a two or three part veneer construction with specially selected veneers, each piece of veneer is selected for its colour and contrast, which is carefully hand cut and layed onto suitable solid wood core.

18 May 2009: Session of the month

Claire and Barry first came to the studio back in 2005 for a family session with Mum and Dad. Now parents themselves they came back this week with their son Barry Jnr for his first ever photo shoot in his first ever football kit!.

10 May 2009: Sam and Adams Wedding

Sam and Adams wedding was defiantly one of our favourites of this year. Sam arrived to her special day in style in what has to be the most colourful wedding car we have photographed. Both the couple and their children were a joy to work with and we wish them all many years of happiness together. here are a selection of images from the day.

28 April 2009: And the winner is........

With our perfect pet competition now closed its really has been a tough decision for us to choose the winner, with some judging help from Toddbrook vets in Harlow we finally came to a decision and we are now pleased to announce that This is our winner! The Rankin family's Japanese Akitas were a delight to photograph and here is the winning portrait. Well done to all our enrtries and hope to see you all again next year

!

1 April 2009: Spring Portraits.

With spring finally arriving and the sun shinning we are starting to do more and more photography on location, from the forest to the seaside the choice is yours! This is defiantly our favourite so far, its our daughter caitlin enjoying a sunday in spring.

12 March 2009: Perfect Pets

Our perfect pets competition is now well under way and with a plenty of pets already photographed its going to be a touch decision for us to make when deciding on our Perfect Pet winner for 2009!!! The competition ends this month so call us now to book in!

5 March 2009: Anniversary Celebrations.

Phillip and Angela were one of our winners from our February prize draw competition. They came to the studio on the day of their seven year wedding anniversary. They were a joy to work with and we wish them many more years of happiness.

28 February 2009: Studio saves brides big day.

With Mandy and Tony just six days away from their wedding they discovered that the wedding photographer they had booked for their big day was unable to attend, with the wedding taking place just yards from the studio we were delighted we could step in and take care of the proceedings for the happy couple. The sun was shining and we were able to capture some happy and memorable moments for Mandy and Tony who are now spending their honeymoon in Florida.

17 February 2009: Session of the month

Baby Tegan Lamper came for her first ever portraits this month along with her Mum and Dad, this defiantly was on of our favorite sessions of the month. Dressed in pink and showing off a cheeky smile we were able to give them a stunning set of images that they are going to use as gifts for Grandparents and God parents as Thank yous for all the gifts Tegan recieved when born.

7 January 2009: Makeover sessions in full swing

Launched at the end of last year our fashion makeover shoots are a fantastic experience that you will love. We have all ready shot three fashion makeovers this year, here are a couple of shots from our most recent session.

1 January 2009: Charity update

We will soon be presenting The Princess Alexandra Hospital a cheque for over £500 from the monies raised from our Christmas charity fund raiser so again many thanks to all those people who donated… More to follow on how the money has helped.

26 December 2008: Olan Mills has cease trading

One of the biggest names in photography Olan Mills has gone into receivership for the second time. The company who specialise in baby and portrait photography mainly through Mothercare ceased trading on Boxing Day. As a result we have decided to honour anyone who has an Olan Mills voucher at our studio.

01 December 2008: Christmas offer to all our past clients

This christmas we are giving all our past clients as far back as 2005 the chance to purchase any portrait, any size with any product for purchase within the next seven days to guarantee having it in time for christmas.

28 November 2008: New and exciting product launch

10 November 2008: Our Favorite Images of the month!

Our favorite session this month is our baby Caitlin. Seen here taking her first steps just before her first birthday.

20 October 2008: Charity Launch

This week we are launching our biggest ever charity campaign as we set out to try and raise over £5,000 for The Princess Alexandra Hospitals Maternity Ward. All proceeds from our £25 gift voucher sales will be donated to the ward throughout October to January.Like so many of our clients we had our first baby at the unit and we were absolutely delighted with the care we were given. It also become obvious to us that although the unit has all the major medical equipment it needs to deliver first class care it is the small day to day items the unit is lacking.please contact the studio on 0845 0044244 and help us to make a difference. The money raised will help buy things like chairs for the new nursery, a new printer for the nurses office and even feeding cups for babies.

26 September 2008:

We have just shot our last wedding this year, Tanya and George who got married at Epping Registry Office and had the reception at The Quality Inn, Epping. Best man and ring bearer was their one year old son Charlie.

19 September 2008: BIPP Award Results

We just missed out on the Major awards of the British institute of professional photographers annual awards with both myself and Jack just a couple of points away from the prizes!! Never mind we will try again next year but huge congratulations to Jack for being so close to an award.

1 September 2008: Our customer survey

We have been recently conducting a customer care survey with all our clients and here are some of the latest results.

Value for money 84.5%, Quality of session 88%, Quality of product 92%, Likely hood to recommend 4.4 out of 5

 

10 August 2008: Session of the month

Our session of the month is the Griffiths family it was photographed by Jack and the images really have captured the joy love and emotion in the family, the children were great to work with and really enjoyed the session.

18 July 2008: Joe and Orla Wedding. Co. Carlo

An added bonus to our work is the great venues we are invited to attend for weddings. We recently went to ireland for Orla and Joe's Wedding. The Venue was fantastic, Ballykealey Manor Hotel in Co.Carlow. A Beautiful old house ideal for setting up shots like this.

 

12 July 2008: Daniel and Lorraines Wedding. Epping

Lorraine and Daniel's wedding took place at Epping church just opposite the studio, Weather was kind to us on the day. We decided to make a recognizable landmark in Epping look a bit different and created this stunning image which the bride and Groom love. Their reception was held at the Metropolitan Police Club in Chigwell attended by over 100 guests and alive band to keep them entertained all evening.

 

29 June 2008: BIPP Award Entries

The British Institute of Professional Photography Awards will be taking place in August 2008 and therefor both Jack and myself have entered a Collection of wedding and portrait images into the awards. The awards are the UK's premier professional Photography "Oscars". Held each year the awards showcase the work of the most innovative photographers. So check our blog around August to see how we got on. Here are a couple of our entries.

20 June 2008: Faith and Tia

Faith & Tia may not have been the youngest babies we have photographed but they were defiantly one of the smallest. They were lovely to photograph and this is one our favorites from the session.

11 June 2008: BIPP Wedding course attended in Devon.

Both Jack and I attended the BIPP regional wedding course in Devon this week hosted by Gordon Mcgowan FBIPP and David Mcgirr ABIPP two leading wedding photographers who are championing the cause of quality wedding photography, in a day and age where many photographers are shooting weddings without any proper understanding of style and technique. They strongly believe that a professional wedding photographer should have input on the day rather than just snapping randomly.

 

May 2008: This month sees our studio reach its 3rd Birthday!!!

It has been an amazing three years and we would like to thank everyone who has helped in the successes of the studio.We have now photographed 1500 families, children and pets over the last three years and have shared so many wonderful moments, and a few sad ones we feel privileged to be able to do what we do.

 

28 March 2008: 1st Wedding of the year

Our wedding season is now well and truly in full swing with five weddings booked up for the next two months our first was a great occasion despite the weather! The wedding of Sam and Tony crane took place at Epping Church on the Friday 28th March. With a reception in the clock tower restaurant also in Epping. With the rain falling down we were still able to capture some memorable moments for sam and tony for them to cherish forever.
